I am no longer writing much on here, because weird people I don't know keep leaving comments and it makes me realize that everything I say can be read by ANYONE. Its kinda creepy when strangers are like "you have a cute baby" I would make this blog private- but then my friends would have a hard time getting to it. I guess I will just have to be careful what I write, because of you weird, creepy blog staukers!!!

Micah is so good with Eli! He holds him for me all the time, and is really good at calming him down if he is fussy or bored. I was so surprized to see how well he holds him- he must be watching us good cause he even does the little back pat while he holds him.

missing you

Eli and I are back in Washington now. He did awesome on the flight again and I had lots of people who held him for me. Bad news: Southwest airlines no longer lets families pre-board the plane! And SW is open seating, so this means a family may have to sit apart- or they have to ask people to move. I got a middle seat of course. I was not happy!

Well, Eli had his 2 month well baby exam. Here's the stats:
His doctor is very nice and gave us LOTS of info.
He weighs 13 lbs 6 oz!
He is 25 inches long
He needs to go to OHSU to see a cardiologist cause she thinks(maybe) she heard something in his heart.
He also needs to get a head CT to rule out anything serious with his lump on his head.
She isn't really concerned about either of those things, its more just precaution.

We heard from Eric on Sunday night and got to talk for about 15 minutes, and he finally called again this morning (Wednesday) but I didn't hear the phone- I just saw 5 missed calls :( So I am hoping he will call back VERY SOON! WE MISS YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He's gone

5 Years

Eric and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary this year. He is the sweetest man ever and got me the greatest gift- or gifts actually. So this is how it went:

He did such a great job! so creative- I had to post it on here to brag on him alittle. His gift was giving him the credit card and letting him go shopping all day for us! If you know Eric you know how much he enjoyed that!! He got Eli some stuff too:

Doctor visits

Well my visit on Monday went fine, nothing exciting. No help with my tailbone- they say I just have to tough it out-nice. We just got home from Eli's visit- which was horrible! The doctor was in and out the door before I was even done asking questions. She was in the room for 2 minutes! I was there because of the lump on his head, she walked in the door said hello and says that the lump is a encephalohematoma, totally normal and then starts to stand up and walk out the door! I said EXCUSE ME, I have a few more questions if you don't mind. She answered all my questions with "totally normal" WELL THANKS FOR YOUR TIME. I just had to wake up early and listen to a screaming baby while I drive 20 minutes over here for information I could have looked up on the Internet! Ugh. Well one good thing- I got to see how much he weighs, 12.8 lbs. Not quite as much as I thought, but nice and healthy!

Well the weather has gotten so much better here! It was a wonderful 83 degrees today and we could actually go outside and walk around. We are having a good time together at home during the day. Its kinda fun getting a schedule down- but we are going to totally blow it when we move home next month! For those that were wondering, I am doing a lot better. I can actually sit down quite well, I get pretty sore after about 10 minutes. But I will take it! It is so nice to sit on the couch and nurse- vs. having to lay down in bed every time. I have my follow up doctors appointment Monday, and Eli has his doctors visit on Wednesday. Can't wait to see how much this chunker weighs!

We got in okay late Saturday night. It was was pretty rough flight and we had to fly around some storms, so we got in about an hour late. Eli did great up until the last hour when he started to lose it. But we got through it.
So Sunday we started him in his cloth diapers, they are working great! Its been about 24 hours now and he went through about 8 of them. They are so easy to use and he hasn't leaked at all yet. They are pretty cute too with his big booty.* Thank you Celeste*

Babies trip home

So far we are having a great time visiting home. Eli did wonderful on the flight here, he slept the whole 6 hours! He didn't even want to nurse when we were landing and it didn't seem to bother his ears, which I am really glad for. He has had to adjust alittle to the time change, but its not to bad. Just this week he is doing so many new things, he started smiling! and cooing and "talking" to us. It is so fun.

4 Generations

We come home tomorrow

We are flying in tomorrow evening!!! I can't wait to bring him home to show everyone. Its really hard being so far away from home and any friends and family. We are having a party while we are in town and here's the invite if you want to come!

I am not much of a blogger. I think your supposed to pour out your thoughts like an online diary. Mine is more like a photo album- you know you only look at the pictures anyways! So we lost our camera in Nashville! Actually ERIC lost our camera. So no new pictures of Eli until I can go looking for a new one. Heres some old ones to hold you all off until we get new ones.
