If you haven't noticed from the pictures Eli is sitting up on his own! He can't quite do it by himself in the bath yet (slippery) He loved playing in the bath with all the toys, and we just had to have a little naked baby photo shoot that day- cause he is so darn cute. By the way, the child has a rather large rear end- which makes it all the cuter! And for those of you who care he has added mama and baba to his babble.

A day at the zoo

Vicky and I braved the wild and took 3 little ones on a day trip to the Honolulu Zoo. Her little one Jasmine is 10 months, and the baby in my pack is Isabelle, she's 2.5 months old(Vicky babysits her) The babies were wonderful during the trip, but almost lost it when we were on our way home and got stuck in rush hour traffic. We are going to the beach today for Eli's FIRST swim in the ocean!!! I am so excited and will take a video of it for you all!

Eli and I got to Hawaii on Tuesday and are having a wonderful time! Here are a few pics so far, I will post more when we get home!

I just love hearing him talk, it is so cute. I like to think he really is trying to talk to his dada :)

roll over boo boo...

He has been rolling over for a couple of weeks now- But I never would see it. I'd put him on his tummy, walk into the kitchen and when I looked back at him he was on his back. My Dad saw him do it several times, but this was the first time I had actually seen him do it, and he was kind enough to perform for the camera!

You supposed to crawl forward!

So little Eli is changing so much lately! This last week he is rolling over, and doing a little crawling. He starts at one side of the room and ends up across it within minutes, the problem is he goes backwards! I have never seen this, it is kinda like an inch worm. He pushes up onto his arms, lifts his butt up and drops back, pushing himself around the room! It is great to see. His new favorite word to babble all the time is Da Da, its pretty sweet. Eric enjoys knowing that will probably be his first word. We are having a lot of fun together. I've got a video I need to put up of him talking.

Baby's First Christmas

Eli will be 5 months on Sunday! I can't believe how fast time is going by. My big boy moved out of momma's room last night, how sad. He sleeps from 9:30-5 then nurses, burps, poops and then from about 5:30-8:30. During the night I would hear him stir and always wake up and give him his binky, this is something I wanted to stop doing so I thought I would put him in another room, so I wouldn't hear him as much. He slept great and so did I!

Well, we had a wonderful holiday! Eli got TONS of toys, books, clothes and cloth diapers! Eric got to see us on Christmas eve and Christmas morning over the web cam. We got our presents from him on Saturday. Eli got a teddy bear in camo and I got a iPod nano which Eric put all my favorite music onto (so sweet) We hope everyone is having a great holiday season also!

We set up the Christmas tree on Friday, and had a little holiday dinner! It was very fun!

oh it is so sad, Eli is sick for the first time! He has a terrible cough and sneezes all the time. They think he might have a little asthma. It is sad to see him sick- but he doesn't seem to mind. He is still happy and content. On the plus side, when I took him to the Doctor for his cold- they weighed him and he is up to 15 lbs 6 oz, which is good to see cause I felt like he hasn't been nursing as good lately- I guess he is just more efficient than he used to be.
